Linda Ferrante wins BCF Student of the Year Award

Linda Ferrante has been selected as the winner of British Coatings Federation’s (BCF) much coveted Student of the Year Award in October 2021.



Mostly seen with a stopwatch around her neck, and working around the clock as fast as the world-class UV systems she develops at FCS, Linda joined FCS in 2014 as an R&D Chemist in our Radiation Cure Section, and became the Team Leader of the same department in 2019.

Educated to Master’s Degree level in Industrial Chemistry, Linda believes strongly in the importance of teamwork and dedication for a productive work environment. Since the very first days of her journey at FCS, Linda has greatly contributed to the success of our company, pushing the boundaries for creating future-focussed coating systems - especially in our PVD and Dual-Cure segments.

Linda’s Responsibilities in our Laboratory include the Research and Development of new and existing Radiation Cure products, with the aim to achieve growth through total awareness, involvement, teamwork, sustainable improvements and training.

As much as Linda leads various critical projects in our Hainault Laboratory, she is also very open to learn from everyone around her, valuing all FCS members’ unique expertise in their own specialised fields. Always eager to learn new skills, Linda’s achievement at the BCF Awards proves that success is an accumulation of consistent efforts and dedication. Bert Jones, Radiation Cure Chemist and member of Linda’s Team, was also shortlisted as finalist of the BCF Student of the Year Award, giving even more recognition to the R&D group in FCS.
